Assessment of the Sustainability and Practicality of Repurposed Shipping Container Architecture

This study evaluates the feasibility of using repurposed shipping containers for single-family homes, addressing container surplus while enhancing environmental and economic benefits. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) revealed container-based construction is more eco-friendly than traditional materials. The research identifies challenges of container housing and proposes solutions, while also suggesting optimal regions for implementation based on climate and surplus data.
